Booking an Appointment:

At Assure Health we encourage appointment bookings however walk-in patients will still be accommodated and seen as soon as possible. You can book an appointment online using the Book Online link at any time. You can also call reception on 9002 1018 and the receptionist will assist you in booking a convenient appointment time.

Appointment Reminders:

Assure Health uses a text message reminders to confirm your appointment.

Appointments can be confirmed by SMS by responding YES to the reminder SMS you receive from Assure Health or they can be cancelled by responding NO.

Appointment Lengths:

General Practitioner

Our standard appointment length with a GP is 10 minutes.

If you are looking for one of the following reasons you may need to book a long appointment (20 minutes or more):

* Vaccinations & immunisations
* Travel medicine
* Preventative healthcare (e.g. Diabetes or other chronic illness management)
* Mental health
* Skin checks

Physiotherapy

All Physiotherapy appointments are 30 minutes duration.

Dietitian

All Dietitian appointments are 60 minutes for new patients and 30 minutes for follow-up.

Appointment Fees:

General Practitioner

All patients with a valid medicarecard will have their consultations as mixed billed.

Patients with valid Australian traveller insurance incur an out-of-pocket fee between the private fees (below) and what their insurance will cover. Assure Health charges the Medicare rebate fee for General Practitioner consultations to people with a valid traveller and student medical insurance. Not all insurance companies are able to be directly billed from Assure Health. Depending on your insurance provider you need to pay out of pocket and claim your rebate back from your insurance company. If you wish to know how much your insurance will reimburse you, please contact your insurance provider prior to your appointment.

For patients who are not eligible for coverage by Medicare or other insurance, the following fees apply:

Standard Consultation: $80.00

Long Consultation: $124.00

Patients attending for work or transport accident related claims will be billed in accordance with the relevant work safe or null fee schedule, available on their websites.

Patients with accepted claims and medical and like services approved will be able to claim full reimbursement for their consultations from their WorkCover insurer or the Transport Accident Commission.

Some minor surgeries are not covered by Medicare or other insurance. In this case there may be an out of pocket cost associated. If you believe you may need a procedure, please call reception on 9002 1018 for more information.

 

Physiotherapist

Physiotherapy consultations can be bulk billed with a GP EPC referral with no out of pocket cost. Please book an appointment with your General Practitioner to see if you are eligible for Medicare covered sessions.

Interpreter Service:

Assure Health uses TIS translation service.

To ensure the best quality of care for our patients, we use the TIS interpreter service for any patient who would like to consult in a language not spoken by their doctor.
